The device is a housing (1) with an integral printed circuitboard that may include a power supply for the data line interconnecting to terminals (2)and chassis mount sockets (3) and devices such as lights (15). Unsafe voltages present onthe data line may be shown by a visual indicator (4). Connection to the data line byexternal devices such as a configuration tool (13) is achieved either by means of

pluggable leads (5) inserted into matching sockets on the tool or by interposing suitableconnectors such as probes (8) and clips (9). This device can be used on din rails inswitchboards to provide a safe and convenient means to route, connect and disconnectlights controllers and other devices from the data line.
